From the supplier: Associated Press's (AP) newest wire 'AP Basic' is evoking different responses from small-town paper editors, who have become wholly dependent on AP after the decline of UPI. George Sample of American Publishing Co. is not impressed by AP Basic's higher speed capability and sees the related fare increase as AP's abuse of its virtual monopoly of the market.
