From the supplier: The tax system is in dire need of a massive overhaul. It needs to be restructured to remove disincentives against savings and entrepreneurial activity. It should also be simplified to reduce needless bureaucracy and refocused with a view to enhancing the competitiveness of US industry. Meaningful tax reform, however, is unlikely given the political divide that exists in Washington, DC. To ensure that tax reform is not blocked by political partisanship, a presidential commission to study the matter should be created, with members to be taken from across the political spectrum.
