From the supplier: Canadian telecommunications firm AGT Ltd. experienced some difficulties when it shifted from a manual system for filing incident reports to a local area network-based (LAN) reporting system. However, the efficiency improvements that have been attained by AGT since the shift to report automation began more than compensate for the time spent resolving its initial difficulties. AGT's experience shows that security staffers need to be consulted thoroughy about procedural changes and be briefed about possible problems if an automation drive is to succeed.
