From the supplier: Penn State's Institute for the Study of Adult Literacy has developed a customer service computer-assisted instruction (CAI) program for mid-literate adults. The Sales and customer Service Occupational Readiness Education (SCORE) courseware provides adults with extra practice in basic skills. The software uses simulations, which are best-suited for developing problem solving and decision making skills. SCORE focuses on reading, writing, math, critical thinking and problem solving skills. There are five modules, each of which builds on the skills learned in the previous module. Students control their learning through the use of buttons and pull-down menus, help menus explain each button. The students can work individually, in pairs or in small groups to enhance teamwork and communication skills.
