Effective use of courseware is a matter of organization; aspects to consider when selecting courseware include whether it is comprised mainly of drills, whether it involves students in planning and problem solving, and whether students are given different roles (as opposed to being grouped simply to help each other understand the material). Interactive courseware being used by more than one class requires that notes the students refer to continually be placed in their notebooks rather than entered onscreen.
