From the supplier: Internal mix atomization is a spray finishing method that has been around for over 50 years but is no longer well-known among woodworkers. It is a process wherein air and fluid are mixed in a cavity inside the air nozzle prior to being released into the atmosphere. The material will 'fan out' and conform to the shape of the opening when it leaves the air nozzle. The advantages and limitations of the method are discussed.
