From the supplier: The earthquake that shook Southern California on the morning of Jan. 17, 1994 resulted in extensive damages to the Northridge California State University. To help get the campus back on its feet again, campus public relations manager Kaine Thompson and director Bruce Erickson had to rally some help from kind souls. They were able to establish communication networks and thereby impart crucial information to the audience of the university, including its students, professors, staffers, officials and nearby residents. Thompson and Erickson were likewise able to provide university president Blenda Wilson with the necessary data regarding measures being taken to restore the campus. The student paper, the university radio station, information booths, hotline information services and the University Information Bulletin also enabled the university to start classes on the second week of February, only two weeks later than others.
