From the supplier: Augustus of Saxony's mineral collection was only a part of his vast 'chamber of the arts.' The latter included an armory, a collection of skeletons, a collection of coins, medals and silverware as well as a collection of tools and scientific instruments. However, his mineral specimens consisted of marble, serpentine, jasper, amethyst and other gems from Zwickau, Chemnitz, Annaberg, Harzdorf and Schneeberg. They are currently in the possession of the Museum for Mineralogy and Geology in Dresden, Germany.
