From the supplier: The IRS has released its "Hospital Physician Recruitment Guidelines" which identifies allowable physician recruitment activities for hospitals operating as tax-exempt organizations. Use of cash, credit, goods or services as incentives to relocate are appropriate when there is a need for the physician in the community. Incentives that benefit the physician's private practice are generally not allowed, and incentives cannot be used to recruit a doctor already in the community but at another facility.
