From the supplier: Andreas Seierstad asserted in an article on the Lutheran Reformation in Norway that post-Reformation Christians felt greater assurance of salvation than pre-Reformation Christians, that is Roman Catholics, because of the doctrine of justification by faith rather than deeds. However, the results of an analysis of Norwegian legends, particularly the Black Book Minister, contradict Seierstad's belief, which is a widely accepted one. The results show that post-Reformation Christians ultimately felt that they cannot attain salvation.
