From the supplier: Juvenile delinquency results from a wide range of environmental, economic, social and physiological problems. The complexity of juvenile delinquency requires a multidisciplinary collaboration among various government and non-government agencies. One example of a successful multidisciplinary effort towards youth development is the Durham Interagency Council on Community Education and Recreation (DICCER) in Durham, NC. The agency develops youth programs that focus on preventive education and positive value formation. A discussion of some of DICCER's successful youth programs is presented.
