From the supplier: A revised study on the affiliation of authors writing in transportation and logistics periodicals from 1986-91 was presented. The periodicals chosen dealt with the managerial, financial, economic and policy-making implications of transportation and logistics management. The two main concerns addressed were the contributions of the authors and their affiliations and the school faculties which were most prolific in publishing articles on logistics and transportation. It was concluded that there was a marked increase in the number of authors from academic institutions and that transportation practitioners are finding less time to write about their field.
