From the supplier: The easy availability of guns has allowed them to proliferate to the extent that there are an estimated 200 million in the US today. Moreover, criminals are exhibiting a callous disregard for human life and a growing tendency to use deadly force. In this context, it is only reasonable, under certain circumstances, to provide properly trained security officers with guns. Some private security jobs are simply too dangerous for unarmed personnel and the police cannot be expected to provide adequate protection at all times.
