From the supplier: Timber output statistics for the period 1981-1993 were analyzed to determine whether there has been a shift in the amount of timber offered, sold and harvested. Harvest method trends were also studied to determine if there have been changes in US Forest Service (USFS) management practices. It is shown that there has been a dramatic decrease in the amount of timber harvested during this period, thus indicating that the USFS has shifted away from its traditional emphasis on high timber output.
