From the supplier: The approaches of ADP Claims Solutions Group and Boston Market to corporate growth are described. ADP found that it had to rethink its entire product formulation when its sole product, the mainframe system, became obsolete in the early 1990s. Within a four-year period, under the leadership of CEO John Gaulding, the firm was able to transform itself from a one-business, one-product organization to a thriving five-business, 28-product company. In the case of Boston Market, corporate growth was the result of management's investment in infrastructure and an externally oriented growth culture. It spent considerable amount of time and effort in creating work teams, developing its approach to work, and establishing clear, relevant, long-term business objectives.
