From the supplier: The cases of accused murderers O.J. Simpson and Lizzie Borden bear striking resemblances. Borden's father and stepmother were hacked to death. Borden hired expensive lawyers who criticized the police and prosecutors. She offered the unlikely alibi of looking for fishing sinkers in a barn loft on a hot day. She was considered the only person with the motive and the opportunity to commit the crimes by a Massachusetts judge who wrote a book on the case. A jury found her innocent after only one hour of deliberations. After the verdict, she was ostracized by her friends and upscale neighbors.
