From the supplier: CNA considers its merger with Continental, consummated in mid 1995, a success, but the work of consolidating the two companies is not nearly complete. CNA chief executive Dennis H. Chookaszian noted that the company has not yet decided on names for some of its units and has not yet transferred many of its policies to different brand names. Staff cuts have not yet been completed, either.
