From the supplier: Pres Clinton's proposed legislation that would simplify pension administration, the Retirement Savings and Security Act, was praised by large employers and employers' groups. ERISA Industry Committee Pres Mark J. Ugoretz lauded Clinton for making pension reform the centerpiece of his 1996 legislative package and commented that there is bipartisan support for passing a pension simplification bill. Senate Majority Leader Bob Dole, the presumptive Republican presidential candidate, accused Clinton of repackaging his own party's ideas.
