From the supplier: Elasticities of input demand for heterogeneous labor are determined using micro-level information. Data from 1550 U.S. firms in 1980 and segregation of labor groups according to race and genders indicate that own-wage and cross-wage elasticities are applicable in both micro and macro levels. However, some statistically important elasticities determined at the micro or firm-level data are not present in macro or industry-based data. Labor skills are also found to be complementary to capital.
