For the dry-kiln buyers, it is necessary to check the moisture content of the boards and to pay attention to ventilation. Buyers of kiln-dried lumber should require delivery of wood dried to 6.5% moisture content. Kiln-dried lumber also needs proper storage facilities, with the boards graded and metered for moisture content.
