From the supplier: Securities investment and sports betting have several obvious similarities. Specifically, both activities are characterized by uncertain outcomes, numerous participants and significant amounts of information about past performances. Given these similarities, numerous researchers have developed tests to evaluate the market-efficiencies of both activities. One of this tests has been modified to generate a profit value which is based on the wins-to-bets ratio. A discussion of key components of the simple test is presented.
