Each barcode tag attached to a pack of lumber includes such information as wood species, number of pieces, board and square footage, grade, thickness, and supplier. The system has generated a number of benefits for American Drew, including less paperwork, less lumber degrade problems, less kiln loading and drying time, and more accurate bunk tags.
