From the supplier: The Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) should be discontinued because of its lack of a long-term conservation policy. Although it has achieved some measure of success in reducing erosion, it remains a mere stopgap approach to resource management. The CRP should be supplanted by a more proactive yet flexible program which motivates farmers to plan more effective and set long-term goals and which aims to convert marginal land into sustainable productive land.
