From the supplier: Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, MA, has upgraded its fire alarm monitoring system as part of a two-year renovation project. Its old ACS nonaddressable alarm system was inefficient because it was unable to identify the source or an alarm and had to be deactivated during any maintenance procedures. In contrast, the new system can determine precisely which of the hospital's 500 alarm sensors has gone off, and is easier to renovate and maintain. In addition, it alerts the control center when a detector needs cleaning.
