From the supplier: The United Kingdom, India and New York all place strict limits on the practice of law by foreign lawyers. Foreign lawyers in the United Kingdom can practice foreign law, though not before the local courts and except for preparing land transaction-related documents or probates or letters of administration. The Bombay High Court is currently considering whether only Indian attorneys are allowed to practice any type of law under the 1961 Indian Advocates Act. New York law considered all foreign attorneys non-attorneys until 1974 when they were allowed to consult.
