From the supplier: The advertising industry remains lax in its efforts to recruit, hire and promote African Americans. Figures from the Bureau of Labor Statistics for 1995 show that African-American workers comprise only 3.8% of the advertising industry, the same percentage posted in 1985. African-Americans should not be discouraged by such figures and instead capitalize on growing client concerns on the future of advertising agencies lacking diversity.
