From the supplier: White House correspondent Brian Williams of NBC News played a hunch on the future success of cable television by moving from an established broadcast network to a job as anchor on MSNBC, a news cable channel started jointly by NBC and Microsoft. However, it was not such a risky undertaking because Williams, 37, is in line to become Tom Brokaw's replacement when he retires. Williams will be able to move back to Connecticut and spend more time with his wife and children.
