From the supplier: Data from a survey of 111 Wisconsin small and medium-sized companies are in agreement with previous claims that government export assistance are helpful. However, the awareness and effectiveness of these programs depend on the degree of internationalization of the company. Moreover, the characteristics of the company and its decision-makers had an effect on the effectiveness of these programs. Therefore, such export-assistance programs should be designed with consideration for the particular type of industry.
