From the supplier: The University of Michigan's Medical Center installed new mortise latch sets to improve its security. The new latches are installed on both sides of doors and can only be locked from the outside with a standard metal key. These can prevent the theft of equipment and drugs from operating rooms (ORs), allow easy access to ORs during surgeries and prevent mentally ill patients from hurting themselves or others.
