From the supplier: Maurice Natanson (1924-1996), formerly Professor of Philosophy at Yale University, was instrumental in introducing the work of Jean-Paul Sartre, Edmund Husserl, and Alfred Schutz to American philosophy. He received a National Book Award in 1974 for 'Edmund Husserl: Philosopher of Infinite Tasks.' His work on the relationship between philosophy and the social sciences was also influential.
