From the supplier: The educational use of technology is gaining acceptance, but technology's integration into curricula is proceeding slowly. Technology is still largely considered an add-on, not an integral component of curricula. According to a Market Data Retrieval report on the educational use of the Internet, 72.2% of educators serving grades 3-12 use the Internet either at school or home. However, those educators face obstacles such as a lack of training, a lack of funds for online time and a shortage of classroom phone lines, modems and computers. The report concludes that educators want increased Internet access and need more organization and evaluation of content by subject and grade level. Educators must explore technologies to find new ways of educating students.
