From the supplier: Pepperdine University's doctoral program in Educational Technology offers much of its curriculum online, but the program serves to re-confirm the necessity of face-to-face interaction in the learning process. A leader in the move toward electronic communciation, Pepperdine University's Graudate School of Education and Psychology began the Educational Technology doctoral program in 1985. The program has provided a unique opportunity to assess the strengths and weakenesses of applying online communication to education. Combining electronic communication with face-to-face teaching, the Educational Technology classes used Multi-user Object Oriented environments, America Online chat rooms, newsgroups, e-mail and an interactive Web site called Co-Motion, created by Bitt-co Solutions Inc.
