From the supplier: The National Academy of Sciences conducted a study on student choice of field of study in 1997, in response to fears that more science and engineering (S&E) graduates are being hired by non-science firms. Results show that the overall percentage of top students choosing S&E appears to be strong, overall. Most of the movement into and out of fields happens throughout schooling and work.
