From the supplier: Forming an advisory council is an effective means of initiating and focusing a basic fund-raising program. It begins with a written description of the program, the extent within which the council will be focused, the expected result and a plan to guide the development. The advisory council should first be associated with the organization, including its selected council members and their tasks. The council should tackle the focused area based on priorities which can either be development of new program, expansion or evaluation of current program or establishment of an endowment.
