From the supplier: Baseball fans appear to be increasingly disenchanted with their baseball idols, as evidenced by the constant talk about players being greedy. This attitude toward baseball players traces its roots to the phaseout of the World Series by a labor dispute. The growing gap between fans and players is blamed on club owners, who pay enormous sums to players and their agents and thereby destroy both loyalty and continuity.
