From the supplier: Using clinical pathways as tools for hospital cost control via case management can be highly effective if the cost of each clinical pathway is known. A new system for analyzing these costs draws on the 1992 work of Swansburg and Sowell and applies it to clinical pathways. It has been tested and used successfully. A second method of cost determination may be applicable to managed care and is included for interest. It has not been tested and is still considered experimental.
