From the supplier: The transportation service performance of 263 maquiladora firms implementing just-in-time (JIT) management and non-JIT which are engaged in US-Mexican trade was analyzed. Comparisons were made based on the impact of border crossing in both firm types' operations. Results reveal that high level performance was evident among firms applying JIT management. These demonstrate the positive impact of JIT approach to transportation service performance.
