From the supplier: The Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute's 1997 Packaging Productivity Trends Indicator reveals a continuing rise in productivity among food and beverage packagers. Between 1995 and 1996, they posted productivity gains of 79.6% and 73.5%, respectively. The most frequently cited reasons for the improvement are human factors/training, new equipment and new materials/containers.
