From the supplier: Zinc carboxylates, which also is known as zinc, soap, are used in rubber manufacture for its curing and processing effects. A study into the ability of zinc soap to change vulcanization efficiencies in natural rubber was conducted. Research results indicate that the best vulcanization efficiencies in natural rubber were obtained from the use of an aromatic acid.
