From the supplier: Statistics from the Bureau of Labor show tightening competition among home improvement store applicants. The bureau reports that 1.8 million retailing jobs will be available for the period 1994-2005, but for 1994 alone, 3.8 million salespeople were employed. In addition, although there were three million cashiers in 1994 alone, only 1.8 million jobs will be available for the period 1994-2005. Competition for the most productive retail sales personnel, clerks, cashiers and even key retail managers is expected to further escalate.
