From the supplier: Polyurethane glues (PUR) are the latest adhesives for edgebanding of wood products. They are hotmelt adhesives that readily react with moisture and the wood producing strong adhesion to achieve a strong edgebanding connection, four factors must be satisfied such as proper preparation of panel, glue quality, the efficacy of the glue system and the pressure section. To meet these conditions, the use of Polyurethane glues is recommended. Although more expensive than most glues available in the market, PUR can be applied in small amounts and still achieve the strong bond.
