From the supplier: A survey was conducted in the Palestine in mid-1990s to determine the knowledge and opinion of professionals on the issue of wife abuse. The respondents totaled 61, 28 of which were males and 33 were females. Almost all respondents admitted the existence of wife beating among Palestinians but that its prevalence was comparatively lower than in other societies. However, few respondents claim that wife abuse is a social problem, although majority or 18 of the female respondents opined otherwise. The cause of wife abuse is blamed on the disobedience of women to their husbands.
