From the supplier: Basketball layup and softball fielding and throwing balls are motor skills that need to be developed in order to be executed properly. A systematic approach in developing these motor skills based on a progression framework is presented to help educators and students to acquire and use these basic skills. Developing progressions in motor skills can be applied not only in layup, fielding and throwing but also in other sport skills. Although the approach offers various advantages, its limitations are also presented.
