From the supplier: Procurement reforms have forced government suppliers to accept more responsibility for product performance. Many suppliers now need, in addition to product liability coverage, broader errors and omissions (E&O) coverage. Product liability insurers that have treaty exclusions for product-design E&O might not be able to provide adequate coverage to government suppliers, but surplus lines insurers can provide policies that ensure comprehensive, single-source coverage.
