Harrison McCain, Chmn of the board of McCain Foods Limited, and Karl Dusterberg, founder and Chmn of apetito AG were the first recipients of QFFI magazine's Golden Ice Crystal Lifetime Achievement Awards. Their contributions to the frozen food industry was honored last Oct. 12, 1997 during the Anuga, the world's largest food and drink exposition in Cologne, Germany. McCain pioneered the intercontinental frozen food business while, Dusterburg, chartered Europe's frozen-menu-based 'Meals on Wheels'program.
