From the supplier: An Orange County Superior Court ruled in the California case of Soliz v. Williams that a judge's rudeness to a plaintiff was indeed inexcusable but the judge could not be sued because of the doctrine of judicial immunity. The court ruled that the judge's actions pushed the border of the doctrine but were not physically assaultive and thus were protected behavior.
