From the supplier: Rapid transport, triage and treatment using recombinant tissue plasminogen activator (rt-PA) therapy are strategies that can be used by a Code Stroke team. Developing such a team has been shown at the University of California San Diego and at the University of Texas, Houston, to be an effective way to deploy emergency response to limit or reverse devastating effects of ischemic stroke. Treating patients within a three-hour window is important. Current attitudes and management should be changed abruptly. Rehabilitation is to be replaced with emergency services.
