From the supplier: The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has introduced a set of guidelines on how the Americans with Disabilities Act applies to people with psychiatric illness. Mental illnesses included in the guidelines are bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, major depression, schizophrenia, and personality disorders. Although such negative traits as absenteeism, tardiness and poor judgment could be linked to mental impairment, the EEOC still urges employers to hire mentally ill people to avoid lawsuits and to help make their businesses a success.
