From the supplier: Sex discrimination in a kindergarten classroom was examined using the Interactions for Sex Equity in Classroom Teaching Observation Scale. By studying a teacher's interactions with pupils, it was observed that the teacher gave less attention to girls than boys. Likewise, the teacher related less frequently to the girls than the boys. Furthermore, ways in which the teacher reinforced sex discrimination were discovered. These results suggested the need for teachers to evaluate their behavior and make appropriate changes based on the evaluation.
