From the author: We here present the first detailed analysis and sonagrams of the vocalizations of the Rio Branco Antbird (Cercomacra carbonaria) and augment the scant literature concerning its abundance, habitat preferences, and behavior. based on vocal similarities, we examine the possible relationships of the Rio Branco Antbird to other species in the genus.
